SCLA Library



The SCLA Law Library provides research, reference, library, and other services supporting legal professionals in Simcoe County, as well as those visiting our courthouses. Our membership currently sits at approximately 400 lawyers operating throughout Simcoe County, including the cities of Barrie and Orillia.

SCLA Members benefit from a full menu of services, including access to specialized legal databases, an extensive print and online collection, expert research and reference assistance, and a range of administrative supports—all designed to help them navigate and access essential legal information with efficiency.

Staff Hours

Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Research & Workstations

There are five research computers in the Barrie SCLA Library, plus one each in the Barristers' Lounges in Collingwood, Orillia, and Midland courthouses. Each computer provides access to a menu of research tools that can be used independently, or staff are available to assist.

Location

The SCLA Library is located on the 4th level of the Barrie Courthouse at 75 Mulcaster Street. The library is approximately 1900 square feet with an adjacent lawyer's lounge and two robing rooms.
