Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Serves Approximately 400 lawyers in the Simcoe county, including Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, Alliston and Bradford.
Services and Public Circulation
The Library provides photocopying, printing, and faxing services and the Collection circulates to members of the Simcoe Law Association and is available for court use by other Lawyers in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Facilities are only for the use of Association Members and visiting Lawyers. Public access and/or use of the Library is restricted
Computer User Workstations
There are five research computers in the Barrie SCLA Library, plus one each in the Barrister's lounges in Collingwood, Orillia, and Midland.
LexisNexis Quicklaw and Divorcemate are available on the research computers in Barrie, as well as the computers in the satellites. You may also access the free legal research sites, such as CanLii, e-Laws and Justice Canada.
Facility
The library is located on the 4th level of the Barrie Courthouse. The library is approximately 1900 square feet with an adjacent lawyer's lounge and robing rooms. There are two study areas available, as well as seating for 20 at the worktables.
